Turning to One Another (TTOA)

ACCKWA’s Turning to One Another Working Group (TTOA WG) was created as an opportunity to encourage and leverage our service users’ experiences and insights. It has since evolved as a joint Peer-Staff initiative focused on improving the quality of life of those living with HIV, as well as increasing ACCKWA’s capacity to meet the HIV-related needs of our community.

Our TTOA Working Group meets on a monthly basis to plan and implement workshops and events throughout the year. Some individuals prefer to get involved by assisting with events and workshops rather than attending meetings to plan them!

If you think TTOA might be for you please contact volunteer@acckwa.com.

TTOA Terms of Reference

ACCKWA is a member of the Turning To One Another Network bringing GIPA to Life through Peer Engagement and Collaborative Relationships.

The TTOA Network Objective is to increase the capacity of ASOs (AIDS Service Organizations) to build effective working relationships between ASO staff and Peers in multiple roles.

There are 13 TTOA ASO Pilot Site Partners across Ontario which support and collaborate with Peer Facilitators to create and deliver on-going local programs. They also share local ideas and practices to help develop the provincial framework.

TTOA Provincial Consultations happen annually to continue to build a collaborative framework to support addressing the real-life practicalities of GIPA-MIPA implementation.  Also this event provides an opportunity to showcase Peer-led workshops from across the province and promote exchange about wise practices.
