COVID-19 Updates

ACCKWA’s services have changed throughout the current COVID-19 pandemic. You can find ACCKWA’s Pandemic Response Plan outlined below. We are also providing frequent updates as they are available to our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages.

We are continuing to provide support and harm reduction services. Support clients are asked to please contact Greg or Sam prior to coming to the office.

Updated Hours:

ACCKWA has adjusted the office hours to remain available for our service users:

Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm (closed 1 – 2 pm for lunch)
Please ring the doorbell in order to access safer sex / substance use supplies.
All in-office visitors will be asked to complete a COVID-19 screening questionnaire, as well as a contact tracing form, and wear two approved masks (provided) at all times.

We want everyone else to remain in their homes and contact us through phone or email in order to help you with your needs.

Clinical Services:

Clinical services have changed at the discretion of the clinicians. The changes are the following:

  • HIV/STI Testing Clinic facilitated by Waterloo Region Public Health is cancelled until further notice;
  • HIV Specialist Care by ARCH is continuing. Please contact Greg or Sam with any questions regarding this clinic;
  • Healthcare Hub is still running at the ACCKWA site and now offers HIV/STI testing! See the Healthcare Hub page for details, and
  • PrEP Clinic now includes two in-person options through external partnerships and online/app-based options as well!

A number of HIV / Hep C and COVID-19 resources have been compiled.
